Recreation and experience - two flies with one stone.

The fine sandy Baltic Sea beach is only a short walk away from our hotel. You can choose between walking along the Baaber Strandstraße with its cafés, restaurants and shops or through the fairytale mixed forest with its carpet of blueberry bushes. Also the Baaber harbour with the famous rowing boat ferry to Moritzdorf and ferryman Kay-Uwe are always worth a walk. If you can't or don't want to walk, just take the free electric train, which has its stop directly in front of our hotel.

The whole region Mönchgut is known beyond the borders of Rügen for its diverse nature and the almost endless possibilities for bicycle tours and hikes. On the treetop path in Prora near Binz you can discover the island from a completely new perspective or experience the nature of Rügen in passing on a round trip with the "Rasender Roland", a historic narrow gauge steam locomotive.

Excursions

Let off steam, give your body some exercise and an extra portion of oxygen - active recreation is best: hiking along the wonderful chalk coast, cycling through unspoilt forests or paddling along reed-lined Bodden shores.

For "muscle games" of all kinds Rügen is the perfect sports field. Here you can get going, recharge your batteries and experience the unique nature of the island up close.

Restaurants

Not only love goes through the stomach, but also holidays on Germany's largest island.
For Rügen is the island for connoisseurs, an island off whose coast herring, cod, flounder and sea trout are caught, and in whose Bodden waters splendid pike, pike-perch and perch grow. Both in Baabe and in the surrounding area you will get your money's worth.
